Occupying a compact urban triangular site in central Oxford; the brief called for a mix of private, affordable and social rented units. Our approach was to work within the constraints of the site; maximising views towards the adjacent Canal whilst reinforcing the streetscape along Mill Street.

Peak Architects replicated the form of the Victorian terraced housing along Mill Street to provide 8 No contemporary 2 Bed houses, whilst alongside the canal frontage three pavilion blocks were positioned with 6 apartments within each block. The spacing of these blocks reduced the scale of development alongside the canal whilst opening the site both physically and visually towards the canal.
