Another busy week at Peak Architects with three new planning applications submitted across Sheffield and the Peak Park.
One notable application was for the conversion and extension of single storey pre-fabricated concrete single skinned insulated house within the Peak Park to provide a modern contemporary pavilion integrating the principles of 'passive haus' with high levels of insulation including triple glazing ; whole house ventilation, use of sustainable materials and sustainable techniques including photovoltaics, water harvesting and the use of low energy/ water saving devices. The design looks at the wooded context and seeks to use materials which will age naturally and allow the building to sit tight to the ground and nestle into its surroundings.
Peak Architects Director Paul Holden commented 'this is a reflection of the continued growth and reputation of Peak Architects, we are continually improving on the quality of all our designs, integrating high levels of sustainability into our buildings within the prescribed levels of affordability '
