Peak Architects announce Patrick Arends as new Director

Sheffield and Peak District based architectural practice, Peak Architects, welcomes architect Patrick Arends to its team as the company enters a period of further growth.

Patrick brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the senior team, having worked across a variety of sectors spanning 20 years.  Much of his work to date has focused on the cultural, education and hospitality industries, all of which will complement Peak Architect’s extensive portfolio across the heritage & conservation, commercial, education and residential sectors.

Patrick started his professional career on home turf with Netherlands based architects, Mecanoo, working on complex projects in both the UK and Holland. He first delivered the Library of Birmingham and REP Theatre, which culminated in Patrick leading Mecanoo’s Manchester Studio where he headed the Oldham Heritage & Arts Centre and Coliseum Theatre, Manchester Engineering Development (MECD) for the University of Manchester, to name a few.

In this new Director role, Patrick will contribute to the continued enhancement of the quality and design of Peak Architects’ projects and the further development of business across multiple sectors.
