Hill Pumps approached Peak Architects to look at the extension of the former ‘Sandvik’ building on the Holbrook Industrial Estate.
In addition to a simple linear extension of the main warehouse, to provide additional warehousing and workspace, Peak Architects were asked to create a new entrance building with associated mess facilities.
This was to replace a modular ‘portacabin’ that had been constructed as a temporary building by the previous owners. From the outset, Peak Architects proposed a dynamic steel framed pavilion which would contrast with the main warehouse and act as a focal point upon entry to the site.
The building provided separate visitor and staff entrances together with a new canteen, kitchen and restroom facilities.
