Peak Architects were approached to design an extension to the Old Rectory set in the green belt and Ulley Conservation Area. The brief was to extend to the rear to create an open plan dining kitchen and living space to maximise on the privacy and scenery.
Whilst the front of the building is perfectly proportioned and symmetrical, the rear had few windows and poor connection to the garden.
In addition, the house had a single bathroom and small attic bedroom so this space was remodelled to create a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and dressing room.
The design fills the room with natural daylight whilst providing panoramic views of the charming countryside.
