Sheffield and Derbyshire-based Peak Architects are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Associate. Alasdair Struthers, who joined the firm in 2022 has been promoted to Associate as a result of his continued commitment to design and quality excellence, while strengthening industry relationships.
With strong leadership skills and ability to exceed client design expectations, Alasdair has contributed to the practice’s growing reputation for delivering exemplary projects across the region. Since joining Peak, he has developed strong relationships across both private and public sectors.
Having started his career at Peter Barber Architects in London, he has continued to specialise in unlocking challenging sites through innovative design and experienced management of the planning system. Recently he’s achieved planning and pre-application successes on the practice’s first paragraph 80 project in Nottinghamshire and three contemporary exemplary-designed homes in the Peak Park. With Director Paul Holden and Associate Oliver Glaves, he now leads the practice’s initial consultation and commercial development appraisal services.
Director Paul Holden commented: “This promotion is well earned and a testament to the hard work, professionalism, and dedication that Alasdair has shown from the outset; he has been instrumental in improving our design quality and implementing systems for the management and delivery of projects at Peak Architects.
Today, Alasdair takes a huge step forward in his career as he transitions into a leading role at Peak Architects. I couldn’t be more excited for his next chapter and supporting him in his and Peak Architects’ continued development.”
