Vernon Park School

Peak Architects designed a new single storey extension for Vernon Park School, which is a 270-pupil nursery and primary school in Stockport. The proposed scheme provides a new entrance; reception and administration area and has been designed to allow improve access and act as a more welcoming entrance and area for visitors.

The project was delivered within budget and programme. The timeframe from initial appointment, through planning to completion was approximately 6 months and was achieved by adopting a 2 stage tender strategy and using modern modular build techniques.

The new extension features environmentally friendly elements including reclaimed slate roof tiles, Siberian larch timber cladding, LED lighting and a lightweight construction.
